The Big One – November’s Three Day Training Workshop
November is here, and if you haven’t heard about our three-day event later this month, then where on Earth have you been hiding? If you have heard about it, then indulge us as we share a few more of the delightful details. This three-day training workshop will be taking place at Millbridge Court from 19–21 November, and it’s going to be packed full of business-boosting, mind-blowing and (yes) life-changing information from a panel of expert speakers across the wedding industry.
If you’re just starting out as a wedding planner, thinking about launching a wedding planning business, or in need of an inspiration and information boost, then this really is an un-missable event. Planning Redefined offers something unique in the wedding industry – it’s no-nonsense training, packed with information, and with no sugar coating in sight! Yes, we bring the tough love sometimes, but we also bring the fun and the cocktails, and we guarantee you’ll leave feeling empowered, informed and ready to take your wedding planning business to the next level.
So, What Can You Expect?
We’re not kidding when we say that November’s event is the big one! We’re covering everything from pricing and services, to styling, sourcing and set-up, and branding and business. Let’s break it down:
With the two of us as your hosts, we’ll go through the ins and outs of planning a wedding from start to finish. This is a hands on workshop, and we’ll be looking for your input and ideas right from the get go. Pricing is such a hot topic in the wedding industry, and knowing your worth (and not being afraid to charge it) is something that lots of new businesses stumble over. We’re both incredibly passionate about this issue, so we’ve built in a fairly in-depth and interactive budgeting exercise to really get you thinking about those numbers.
To round off an excellent first day, we’ll be talking about the importance of building and maintaining relationships with other suppliers and industry experts. The fabulous photographer Hannah Duffy, Sarah from Millbridge Court – our home for the duration – and Lara from caterers extraordinaire Kalm Kitchen will be joining us on the speakers’ sofa for this part of the day.
Things are about to get ridiculously pretty! Yup, today is all about the styling, in the form of an epic day-long practical styling workshop. We’ll be covering styling services, creation of mood boards, interpretation and development of client briefs, sourcing of décor and props, styling set-up, photography AND styled shoots. And if that wasn’t enough, we’ve got some true industry leaders in house to guide you through the day, step by gorgeous step.
You’ve got the meat of the job down pat, your styling skills have never been better, so now it’s time to talk business, and we’re leaving no stone unturned. Day three will see you schooled in branding and web design, PR, marketing, copywriting, goal setting, self care and the legal stuff! Experts for day three include legal eagle Heather Stanford-Gould, wedding industry copywriter Jen Feroze, destination wedding planning expert Matthew Oliver, wellbeing and empowerment coach Val Mattinson and the dream team that is Lamp Productions. It’s. Going. To. Be. Epic.
Not Just Teaching…
At a Planning Redefined event, you’re here to learn, but it wouldn’t be a Planning Redefined event if there wasn’t a whole lot of fun on the cards, too. The whole three-day shebang is going to be hosted in the beautiful surroundings of Millbridge Court, and as well as the chance to network with a host of experts and like-minded industry folk, we’re planning a cocktail Q&A on night 1, three utterly delicious lunches, and a Tuesday night drinks and dinner reception hosted by the one and only Kalm Kitchen.
We are so, so excited about November’s event. It really is going to give you the tools you need to move forward with your wedding planning business in an empowered and inspired way. There are still tickets available, and you can book the whole three days, or a one-day ticket if you’d prefer – nab yours here. If you have any questions about the workshop, or anything else to do with Planning Redefined, then feel free to drop us a line. We’d love to hear from you, and we can’t wait to see you at what will be a game changer of a workshop.
